Internships

Interning in Senator Curtis’ office offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public service, contribute to meaningful work for Utahns, and learn about the legislative process in a fast-paced, professional environment. 

The office provides internships in both Washington, D.C. and Salt Lake City, UT for undergraduate students in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.  

Below are the internship application deadlines for each session:

  • Summer 2025: February 1, 2025
  • Fall 2025: April 1, 2025
  • Spring 2026: October 1, 2025

The office is currently accepting applications for the Summer 2025 semester. To be considered for an internship with the Office of Senator Curtis, applicants are required to submit the following to internships@curtis.senate.gov:

  • Completed Application Form (available here)
  • Current Resume
  • Copy of Transcript
  • Cover Letter
  • Two Writing Samples
  • Two Letters of Recommendation


Only completed applications received by the deadline will be accepted.
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by the Intern Coordinator. If you have any questions, please contact the Washington, D.C. Intern Coordinator at internships@curtis.senate.gov. Updates on application status will not be given.
