Our office is happy to assist Utahns in purchasing an American flag flown over the U.S. Capitol. These flags make meaningful gifts to commemorate special occasions such as retirements, birthdays, graduations, military service, or other important milestones.

Flags are available in a variety of sizes and materials, including nylon and cotton. Each flag comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Architect of the Capitol, and upon request, can include the name of the honoree, the occasion, and the date the flag was flown.

If you would like your flag flown on a specific date—such as a birthday, anniversary, or holiday—please place your order at least six weeks in advance. While every effort is made to accommodate date requests, specific fly dates cannot be guaranteed due to high demand. If you do not have a date preference, you may choose to order a pre-flown flag. These flags are typically processed and shipped more quickly, but do not include a personalized certificate tied to a specific date or occasion.

On the site, you can select your preferred flag type, size, and payment method, and indicate whether you’d like your flag flown on a specific date. Please do not send cash or check payments to our office. Please only use the official portal. The cost includes the actual flag, the certificate, and shipping.

Please allow four to six weeks for processing and delivery after the flag has been flown. All prices reflect the cost of the flag and processing—no profit is made from your purchase.
